Paper Plane Olympics!

✈️ Welcome to the Great Paper Plane Games!

All you need is a stack of paper, a measuring tape, and a crew ready to cheer. Hidden inside this simple setup is a thrilling mission: discover which crazy, clever, or chaotic folds actually take flight!

🌟 Where the Air Becomes the Arena

Fly your best designs, the tape measure delivers the verdict, and the sky becomes your scoreboard!

🏁 Sky Stadium Setup

  • Choose a throw line — tape on the floor, chalk on the driveway, or a backyard runway.
  • Give each pilot three identical sheets of paper.
  • Each round, fold a brand‑new creation: a speedy dart, a floating glider, or a wild invention that looks like it shouldn’t fly but might surprise you.
  • Every plane gets three throws. Keep the best one.
  • Add bonus events if you want: hang‑time counting, loop‑the‑loop points, or a “comes back toward you” miracle bonus.

🎯 Stadium Events

  • Distance Dash — measure from the throw line to wherever the plane first lands (or slides heroically).
  • Hang‑Time Showdown — count “one‑Mississippi” until touchdown. Highest number wins.
  • Target Toss — aim for a laundry basket, a rug circle, or a backyard landmark.
  • The Inventor’s Cup — one extra plane that can look absolutely ridiculous. It still has to fly, which makes the victory even sweeter.

👨‍👩‍👧 Runway Rules

  • Everyone watches safely from behind the throw line.
  • One pilot at a time — give each flyer their moment of glory.
  • If a plane smacks into the ceiling fan, that throw is a scratch. Laugh loudly, then try again.

🔧 The Mini Engineering Challenge

After the medal ceremony, grab the day’s favorite plane and change just one tiny thing — a wingtip tweak, a paperclip on the nose, or a softer throw. Fly it three more times. If it beats its own record, congratulations: you just did real engineering disguised as play.

And don’t forget: the winning design earns a spot in your Family Champions Museum, where legendary folds live forever.
