Welcome to your Driveway Chalk City!
Just add sidewalk chalk, a patch of pavement, and a crew ready to name the streets! Hidden inside this simple setup is a thrilling mission: discover which roads, shops, and wild inventions actually make a city come alive!
Where the Driveway Becomes a World
Draw your favorite streets, let the toy cars take a tour, and the pavement becomes your hometown to explore for the day!
City Planning Setup
- Choose a canvas — a driveway, a sidewalk square, or a patio that loves color.
- Give each planner a few sticks of chalk, or pick from one shared box so every neighborhood is supported.
- Each round, add a brand-new block: a speedy racetrack, a hopscotch park, or a wild invention that looks too fancy to be a road — then have a toy car give it a go!
- Every city gets new landmarks. Keep the favorite one.
- Add bonus neighborhoods: a market square, a river of blue chalk, or a “the road comes back around” loop.
Neighborhoods You Can Draw
- Main Street — shops, a tree in a roundabout, names on the signs. Vote for the block to visit first.
- Hopscotch Park — numbers in a path. Highest hop with a laugh wins the park plaque!
- Grand Prix Lane — a winding chalk racetrack. Toy cars roll from start to checker. Longest smooth run wins a cheer.
- The Inventor’s District — one extra landmark that can look absolutely ridiculous. It still has to belong on the map, which makes the victory even sweeter.
The Mini Engineering Challenge
After the grand opening ribbon cutting, grab the day’s favorite street — or favorite shop — and upgrade one tiny thing: a wider lane, a brighter door, or a new park feature.
Record your creations for your Family Champions Museum. Snap a photo before sunset!
